In PitchResponse, everything is organized around projects. A project represents a single website or brand you are doing link building, PR outreach, or media coverage work for. All of your opportunities, keyword alerts, outreach emails, backlink exchange activity, and team members are managed within the context of a project. If you are an agency or managing multiple sites, you will have a separate project for each one.
How Many Projects Can You Have? #
The number of projects you can create depends on your plan. Check your current plan details to confirm how many projects are available to you. Visit the PitchResponse Pricing page for current plan information.
Creating a New Project #
To create a new project, click the purple project dropdown in the upper right corner of the platform. This dropdown displays your currently active project name. Clicking it will reveal the option to add a new project.
Filling In Your Project Details #
When setting up a new project, you will be asked to provide the following:
Project Name A name to identify this project within PitchResponse. If you are an agency, this is typically the client’s business name. If you are managing your own site, your brand or company name works well.
Domain URL The full URL of the website this project is for, in the format https://example.com. This should be the site you are building links to or earning coverage for.
Brand Information A brief description of what your brand or business does. This is used by PitchResponse’s AI capabilities to better understand your brand context, which improves the relevance of suggestions and tools across the platform. If you are not sure what to write, a sentence or two describing your business and what it offers is sufficient.
After Your Project Is Created #
Once your project is created you will land on the Project Settings overview, where you can continue setting it up. The key things to configure from here are:
Keywords Add the keyword alerts that will drive your opportunity matching. Each keyword monitors incoming opportunities for relevant content and surfaces matches in the Opportunities section. See 04. Managing Project Keywords for a full walkthrough.
Notifications Configure how and when you want to be notified about new opportunities and expiring ones. Notifications can be delivered via email or Slack. See 05. Managing Project Notifications for a full walkthrough.
Outreach Emails Connect an email account to your project so you can send pitches directly from PitchResponse. Email connection is handled in the Connecting Outreach Emails section of the docs. Once your email is connected at the account level, you will assign it to this project from the Project Settings. See 01. Connecting Your Outreach Email: An Overview to get started.
Team Members If you have colleagues or clients who need access to this project, you can add them from within the project settings. See 02. Adding New Users to Your Account and 03. Adding Users to Projects for instructions.
