PitchResponse can notify you when new opportunities matching your keywords arrive and when existing opportunities are approaching their deadline. Notifications can be delivered to your email inbox, your Slack workspace, or both. All notification settings are managed at the project level, meaning each project you manage can have its own notification configuration.
Accessing Notification Settings #
Notification settings are located inside your project settings. Navigate to the relevant project and find the Notifications area. From here you can configure both email and Slack notifications and set your preferred frequency.
Notification Types #
There are currently two notification types you can configure:
New Opportunities A notification sent when new opportunities matching your keyword alerts arrive in the system. You can choose how frequently these notifications are delivered:
- Immediately — a notification is sent as soon as a matching opportunity enters the system
- Once a day — a single daily digest of all new matches since the last notification
- 3x per day — a digest sent three times throughout the day
Opportunities Expiring A daily notification listing opportunities in your Matches that are approaching their deadline. This is sent once per day and helps you avoid missing relevant opportunities before they close. This notification type can be enabled or disabled independently from the New Opportunities notification.
Both notification types can be enabled for email, Slack, or both channels simultaneously.
Setting Up Email Notifications #
Email notifications require no additional setup beyond enabling them in the Notifications area. When enabled, notifications are sent to the email address associated with your PitchResponse account. Select your preferred frequency for New Opportunities and toggle Opportunities Expiring on or off, then click Save Notifications.
Setting Up Slack Notifications #
Slack notifications require a one-time connection between PitchResponse and your Slack workspace. To set this up, navigate to the Notifications area within your project settings and click the option to connect Slack. You will be prompted to log in to your Slack account via OAuth and select the channel where notifications should be delivered.
Once connected, your Slack workspace and channel will appear under Slack Connections in the Notifications area. You can test that the connection is working correctly using the Test Slack Notifications button. To disconnect or change the channel, click Edit or Remove next to the connection.
Slack notifications follow the same frequency settings as email notifications and are configured in the same place. You can run both email and Slack notifications at the same time if you want notifications delivered to both.
Saving Your Settings #
After making any changes to your notification configuration, click Save Notifications to apply them. Changes do not take effect until they are saved.
